A pub in London is doing his bits this Christmas to help old people who are lonely.

According to the NHS, there are more than a million people over the age of 75 that spend over a month without hearing from a family member, neighbour or friend.

The Alexandra Pub in Wimbledon is tackling loneliness by hosting free weekly Meet Up Mondays and planning a Christmas meal for the elderly people.

The venue offers free sandwiches, drinks, a free turkey feast with cherry for Christmas and plenty of company.

The owner of the pub, Mick Dore speaks to our reporter about the recent events…
